At Kids Corner, our primary care visits are scheduled appointments designed to assess your child’s growth, development, and overall health (well-child checkup). During these visits, you can expect the following:

• Newborn care: It is recommended that newborns see a doctor within 48-72 hours after being discharged from the hospital. At this visit, you can expect a full physical exam and weight check. We will also go over any concerns or questions you may have. Follow up appointments will be scheduled accordingly.
• Follow up for high-risk infants: patients recently discharged from NICU-ICU, sickle cell disease, diabetes, G tube feeds, genetic syndromes etc.
• Immunizations for vaccine-preventable illnesses
• Screenings for hearing, vision, scoliosis, developmental delay.
• Growth and development surveillance
• Nutrition counseling
• Sleeping difficulties counselling
• Travel advice and vaccine recommendations
• Chronic conditions Assessment management: constipation, asthma, eczema and more.

We offer urgent care visits to our current patients, and we are happy to announce that we are in the process of extending these services to non-registered patients.

• Assessments of bilirubin levels for newborns recently discharged from the hospital
• Immunizations
• Suturing

That is why Dr. Alex offers virtual visits to both our existing patients and to new patients requesting consultations depending on the nature of the visit.
